Anthony smith and Thiago both should’ve been finished for Jon. It made me wonder if Jon is starting to lose it a bit. No disrespect to Thiago, but this should’ve been easier for Jon. I think people are starting to figure out the oblique kick a bit and I haven’t seen them add much else to their arsenal. ![]() I’m not sure the gameplanning was really there for this one. I doubt Jon would leave at this point, but he could easily build camps based on his needs. After hearing a lot of the fighters talk about it there, you can tell they went from a pro gym to a bit more of a commercial environment. I don’t wanna blame this on coaching, and perhaps this is a separate thought, but I truly believe Jackson’s is no longer an elite camp. I think one takedown and Jon could’ve ended the fight. I think Jon believed he was comfortably winning, and I don’t know what his corner said, but they needed him to be a little more urgent out there. When I was watching it, I felt like Jon was slightly ahead, but a lot of the rounds were toss ups. I’m not exactly sure what Jon was thinking of doing out there.
